One person died at New Year's party
Seventeen people gathered at the Bhavani Nagar Association Committee Hall in Jagadgiri Gutta, Hyderabad, on New Year's Eve. After eating food at the party, all of them became ill. One person died after being hospitalized.
Bad atmosphere after eating
Everything was fine till these 17 people reached the New Year party, but as soon as the people present in the party ate the food, their health deteriorated immediately.
Nine people fainted after eating the food at the party. They were immediately admitted to Narayan Malla Reddy Hospital. Two others were taken to Ramdev Hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment.
Police team engaged in investigation
Following the incident in Hyderabad, police were informed of the incident. A case has been registered. The police have confiscated the food leftover from the party and sent it to a testing lab. Statements from those affected have been recorded as part of the investigation.
