In some regions, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law are also prohibited from watching the Holika fire burn together.
Pregnant women
Pregnant women should stay away from the Holika Dahan fire. There are both religious and scientific reasons for this. According to scriptures, negative energies are more active during Holika Dahan, which can have a negative impact on the unborn child. Scientifically, the intense heat of Holika and the smoke emanating from it can be harmful to the health of both mother and child.
