However, the Himachal Pradesh High Court has given partial relief to SP Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi in the Letters Patent Appeal (LPA) in the case.

The division bench of Justice Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia and Justice Ranjan Sharma made it clear that the argument (appeal) has been accepted on this aspect so that the personal and professional reputation of Sanjeev Gandhi and other members of the SIT is not harmed.

However, the bench also said that it will not interfere with the main point of the decision to hand over the investigation of the case to the CBI, as this will ensure a fair and effective investigation. The CBI will conduct the further investigation in this case. The hearing in this case has been scheduled for July 14.

SP Gandhi's appeal accepted in High Court

After the hearing, SP Sanjeev Gandhi's lawyer Sanjeev Bhushan said that the NPA filed by the court has been accepted. He said that this entire matter has been raised by the SP regarding professional work and integrity in which an appeal has been made that during the decision of the court to give the case to the CBI, some such statements were made which can harm the personal and professional reputation of SP Sanjeev Gandhi and his SIT members. Therefore, the High Court has accepted SP Gandhi's appeal.

On the other hand, the hearing was also held in the anticipatory bail case of IAS Harikesh Meena, who is related to the Vimal Negi case. In which the High Court has made CBI a party. Now the hearing on the bail has been scheduled for June 16.
