Himachal Pradesh News: There is a political uproar in Himachal Pradesh over the issue of giving more than 2 crore 34 lakh advertisements to the National Herald newspaper. The BJP is accusing the Sukhu government of misappropriating public money in the name of advertisements. In fact, two days ago, the Chief Minister had said that the National Herald newspaper is his government and he will give a lot of advertisements to it, on this the BJP is constantly attacking the Sukhu government.

When this matter cropped up in the media, the Chief Minister's chief media advisor Naresh Chauhan came to the government's defense. He hit back at the BJP and said, "The opposition is giving wrong figures of advertisements given to the National Herald newspaper, whereas the BJP, in its time, gave advertisements to the RSS and many such institutions whose whereabouts are not known."

'Opposition was conspiring against the government'
Naresh Chauhan further said, "The former Jairam government has given advertisements worth Rs 2 crore 92 lakhs to Organiser/Panchjanya, Deep Kamal Sandesh, ABVP Shimla Magazine, Tarun Bharat Magazine Nagpur, Matrivandana, Chhatra Udghosh, Bharat Prakashan Delhi in five years. The opposition is conspiring against the government. The government has given advertisements worth Rs 1 crore 1 lakh to National Herald newspaper in two years. BJP is presenting wrong figures whereas the figure of Rs 2 crore 34 lakhs given by BJP has been given by the government in the assembly."

'Opposition is making baseless allegations'
Showing the copy of National Herald newspaper, Naresh Chauhan said, "The newspaper is printed, the opposition is making baseless allegations of the newspaper not being printed." However, Naresh Chauhan could not answer how many copies of National Herald newspaper come to Himachal and was seen running away from the question.

On the question of paying the bill of the party given by the Chief Secretary to the officers on Holi from the government treasury, Naresh Chauhan said that it is his personal opinion that the Chief Secretary should have paid the bill of the Holi party himself.
