Landslide in Brahmasen area poses threat to local people
At the same time, the continuous landslides in the Brahmasen area near Gopeshwar headquarters of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand have created a serious threat for the local residents. Due to heavy rains, about 150 meters long road has completely collapsed, due to which cracks have appeared in the nearby residential houses. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people living in the affected area and many families are worried about their safety.
District Magistrate Sandeep Tiwari said that many areas have been affected due to the continuous landslides in the district. To assess the damage caused by this natural disaster, the administration has prepared a detailed report and sent it to the government. He said, "We have given complete information about the landslide affected areas to the government. An expert team formed by the Government of India will soon reach Chamoli and inspect the affected areas and assess the damage."
