A US judge has ordered the Trump administration to explain the reason for firing employees. A district judge in San Francisco on Friday ordered the administration to tell the employees who were fired en masse in writing that they were fired not because of poor performance but as part of a campaign to cut government expenses.

 

On which petition did Judge William give the order?

Judge William Alsup gave this order on petitions filed by labor and non-profit organizations. These petitions have been challenged in the Trump administration's dismissal of thousands of probationary employees in February. Last March, William had directed six federal agencies to reinstate these employees.
