News Topical, Digital Desk : Former British royal Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested on suspicion of alleged misconduct in public office. Police have not released the name, but confirmed that a 60-year-old man has been detained.

He is being investigated for his alleged links to American convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Thames Valley Police said they were investigating allegations that Jeffrey Epstein brought a second woman to the United Kingdom in 2010 and introduced her to Andrew.

Where did you meet?

The meeting reportedly took place at the Royal Lodge in Windsor, Andrew's former residence, in 2010. The woman was in her 20s at the time and a British citizen.

The matter gained further traction when photographs and emails between Andrew and Epstein became public. Following these revelations, Andrew left Windsor and began living at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

The investigating agency says it is proceeding with caution to ensure the integrity of the case.
