Now pictures of his house in Malabar Hills, Mumbai have surfaced. Many notices are pasted outside his house. There is a pile of papers which includes many bills.
'Maintenance charge is 75 thousand rupees per month'
This property was attached by ED. A member of the society told news agency ANI, “7 years of maintenance is pending. The monthly charge is Rs 25,000. There are three units on the 9th floor, 10th floor and 11th floor. The 11th floor is illegally occupied. The monthly maintenance is Rs 75,000.”
'Big trees have started growing'
Along with this, he said, "As of today, the outstanding amount is Rs 60 lakh without interest. Rs 95 lakh is outstanding for repairs. If all these amounts are added together and 18 per cent interest is charged every year, it will amount to Rs 2.75 crore to Rs 3.25 crore. Big trees of 10 feet height have started growing, which is creating problems on the remaining floors."
What did Choksi's lawyer say?
