Israeli firing near humanitarian site in Gaza kills 17
At least 17 Palestinians were killed and dozens injured in Israeli fire near an aid distribution site of a US-backed humanitarian group in central Gaza. The injured were rushed to Al-Awda Hospital in Gaza's Nusrat Camp and Al-Quds Hospital in Gaza City.
The Israeli military said warning shots were fired at suspects who were moving into Gaza territory and posing a threat to troops.
Last week, they warned Palestinians not to travel on routes leading to US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) sites between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. These routes were described as closed military zones. Meanwhile, the Israeli navy on Tuesday attacked posts in Yemen's rebel-held port city of Hodeida.
