News Topical, Digital Desk : The central government is moving from regulatory to control-oriented for social organizations run by foreign funds, a move that Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said the government is using this as a pretext to seize their assets. The SP chief questioned whether the government will return the money received from the PM Fund.

SP President raised questions on the Center

Akhilesh Yadav wrote a lengthy post on his social media account, X, regarding this matter, saying, "Before introducing the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, which is about to be rigged in the name of regulating foreign funding for NGOs, the BJP should explain:

- Will the money that came into the PM CARE FUND from abroad be returned, or will it also be swallowed by granting special exemptions, like an audit?
- When will the BJP return the money that came through electoral bonds? When electoral bonds themselves have been declared illegal, how is the money received from them legitimate?
- And what will happen to the money that comes into the accounts of unregistered, so-called Red Fort NGOs? Is this an internal struggle to cut off their foreign roots?
- And who will account for the donations collected for so-called charity, in the name of temple construction, which were embezzled by BJP-affiliated front organizations, namely the Council, Vahini, etc., which also received a huge amount of money from abroad." Recovery should be made from the accounts and properties of all the officials associated with them.

In fact, this is the undemocratic, overly controlling, monopolistic thinking of BJP politics which wants to make NGOs its puppets by exercising unwanted control over them and under this pretext, wants to gradually usurp their properties.

The BJP government itself does not do anything and does not even want to allow the truly independent NGOs that are doing good work to do so because many times the public says that NGOs do better work than the government, due to which the government is severely criticized on many fronts and the failure of the BJP is exposed.

The BJP should also explain that while so many restrictions are being imposed on the money coming in legally from abroad, what about the vast wealth that is going abroad illegally? When will the lands and properties of their friends, who have taken the wealth abroad and are living there without fear, be confiscated and recovered? Or will those "fugitive BJP brothers" continue to receive the same special privileges that their informant colleagues and ideological ancestors who supported the imperialist forces enjoyed before independence? This time, the public will shut down the BJP's ATM of bias.

The BJP's ill intentions and dishonesty are the foundation of every bill it makes. Let the BJP go, let there be peace! The bad days are about to end.

It's worth noting that the amendment bill being introduced by the central government regarding foreign funding to non-governmental organizations will change these rules from regulatory to control-oriented. This means that foreign remittances will not only be kept on paper, but the government will also monitor every asset created with that money.

BJP said it is very important for the country

Meanwhile, BJP MP Dinesh Sharma called the FCRA bill vital for the country. He said that foreign donations are often used to fund anti-national and anti-government protests. Regarding opposition parties' opposition to the bill, Dinesh Sharma said that no one, whether minority or majority, will be allowed to compromise the country's security.
