New Delhi. Do you also get rashes on your skin after using any new product, do you feel a burning sensation along with intense itching? If the answer is yes, then you need to pay attention to the ingredients present in skin care products, because there are some ingredients that can react with other ingredients and due to this, there can be problems of rashes, burning, and itching. Let us know about some such bad combinations.

Retinol + AHA/BHA

Retinol is a very powerful anti-aging ingredient that exfoliates the skin and improves its texture. Ingredients called AHA/BHA (alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydroxy acid) in skin care products are chemical exfoliants that remove dead skin and make the skin glow, but mixing these two ingredients together creates a harsh product that can lead to problems like burning, hyperpigmentation , redness, and acne.

AHA/BHA + Vitamin C

As you already know, AHA/BHA are acids. They are used in very small quantities to exfoliate the skin . There is no harm in applying them alone, but if you use any skin care product containing vitamin C with it, then you may see bad results. This is because vitamin C is also an acid, which can cause irritation. AHA/BHA certainly remove dead cells, but it makes the skin hyper-sensitive. In such a situation, the use of vitamin C is not right at all.

Vitamin C + Retinol

Using both of these separately is very beneficial for the skin, but when they are mixed together, it can cause skin irritation. It would be better to use both of them at different times. While it is better to apply retinol at night, Vitamin C should be applied during the day. Moisturizer should always be applied before applying retinol or else moisturizer can also be applied by mixing it with retinol. Do not forget to apply sunscreen after applying vitamin C.
