New Delhi: Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer film's producer Vasu Bhagnani has been in constant discussion for the last few months. His film 'Bade Miyan Chote Miyan', directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, was released this year on the occasion of Eid.
The makers spent crores of rupees on this film, but the film could not earn accordingly at the box office. After some time, producer Vasu Bhagnani was also accused of not clearing everyone's payment.
Now recently, the owner of Pooja Entertainment, Vasu Bhagnani has accused Netflix of defrauding him of crores of rupees, for which he has also received a reply.
Was Vasu Bhagnani duped by Netflix India?
Pooja Entertainment head Vasu Bhagnani has claimed that Netflix India has not paid him Rs 47.37 crore till now. According to a report in the Economic Times, the producer says that Netflix has cheated him in the name of rights against his three recently released films, Hero No. 1, Mission Raniganj and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
He has filed a complaint against Los Gatos Production Services India Production, through which Netflix reports its content investments in India. After this complaint by Vasu Bhagnani, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) is investigating the matter. The report also claims that the EOW has sent summons to the production service firm in this case.
Netflix responded to the allegations of fraud against it
The report also claims that after Vasu Bhagnani's complaint, Netflix issued a statement saying that the money is not due to them but to Pooja Entertainment. The statement says, "These claims are completely baseless. Pooja Entertainment is yet to pay Netflix.
