News Topical, Digital Desk : Imran Khan's family continues to express concern about his health. Now, his ex-wife, Jemima Goldsmith, has written an open message to his ex-owner, Elon Musk, alleging that his posts are not reaching people. She said that the reach of his posts on the platform has been reduced to almost zero.
What allegations did the ex-wife make?
Jemima Goldsmith wrote on X on Friday that her posts on Imran Khan's treatment and his legal status were not reaching people. She appealed to Elon Musk, saying her account's visibility on the platform had been reduced.
According to her, Imran Khan has been illegally held in solitary confinement for 22 months and his sons are not being allowed to meet him. Jemima said that X is the only place left from where she can tell the world that Imran is a political prisoner deprived of human rights. She wrote, " You promised free speech, not speech that no one can hear. "
Growing family concerns
Jemima has previously alleged that Pakistani authorities prevented her sons from talking to their father and even threatened to arrest them if they visited Pakistan.
Imran's sister, Aleema Khan, also said outside the jail this week that the family has been visiting the jail every Tuesday for the past eight months, but they are not allowed to meet Imran. According to her, Imran has been wrongly isolated and this should stop. The family says they are not receiving any clear information about Imran's health and condition.
UN experts continue to worry
In July last year, a panel of UN experts ruled that Imran Khan's arrest violated international law. The panel concluded that Imran Khan was being arbitrarily detained to prevent him from contesting elections. Since then, his family and supporters have repeatedly questioned his status and demanded transparency from the government.
