News Topical, Digital Desk : This year the auspicious festival of Sita Navami will be celebrated on Saturday, April 25th. On this day, Goddess Sita and Lord Shri Ram are jointly worshipped for a speedy marriage and a happy married life. Let us learn important things related to the worship of Goddess Janaki, without which this puja is considered incomplete.

Do not forget to include these things in the puja

Since Mother Sita is the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, the following things are essential in her worship:

  • Lotus or hibiscus flowers are considered very dear to Mother Sita.
  • Make sure to use yellow colored clothes or red chunari to offer in the puja.
  • For unbroken good fortune, 16 ornaments including vermillion, bangles and bindi should be offered to the Mother Goddess.
  • For offering, you can include yellow fruits, jaggery or pure home-made sweets in the puja.
  • Tulsi leaves should also be included in the offering to Mother Sita .
  • During the puja, a lamp made of cow ghee should also be lit.

Do this auspicious work during worship.

To bring sweetness to your married life, offer Mother Sita 16 items of adornment and a red scarf. On Sita Navami or any Ram-Janaki puja, recite the "Janaki Chalisa," "Janaki Stuti," and "Shri Ramayana Ji." Without these, the worship is considered incomplete. To receive Mother Sita's special blessings, you can also feed young girls on Sita Navami.

You will receive the blessings of eternal good fortune

During the Sita Navami puja, apply vermilion to the forehead of Goddess Janaki . Then, apply the same vermilion to your own forehead (maang) as prasad. This bestows the blessings of eternal good fortune. Additionally, the Janaki Stuti should be recited during the Sita puja.

Chant the mantra like this

During worship, chanting mantras dedicated to Goddess Sita should always be done with a Tulsi garland. To overcome marital difficulties, chant the mantra "Om Pativratayai Namah." Additionally, chant "Om Janakivallabhaaye Namah" 108 times to seek the blessings of Goddess Janaki and Lord Rama.
