Target to plant 37 crore saplings
CM Yogi said that tree plantation is not just an environmental responsibility but a campaign to secure the future. He said that keeping in mind the Maha Kumbh of 2025, this time a target has been set to plant 37 crore saplings in the state, out of which a large number of saplings are being planted in a single day. Yogi said that today there is a new shine in the name of Uttar Pradesh. The state was once known for crime, anarchy and jungle raj, but today it is known as a model of environment, law and order and development.
Said a big thing for the youth of the state
He further said that the youth of the state no longer have to face the crisis of identity. Earlier, the youth of UP were neglected in the name of their state, but now they proudly say that they are from Uttar Pradesh. The CM said that earlier deforestation was done openly in the state and the forest mafia was dominant in the state. These mafias used to occupy the lands of the poor and cut down forests. We have curbed them and increased the forest area rapidly. This work will continue.
The CM said that we not only connected villages with roads, but also modernized the cities. Today, lakhs of LED street lights have been installed in the municipal bodies of the state, which is saving electricity and lighting up the cities.
