In his written notice to the central government, he stated that Gorakhpur is a city of immense religious, tourist, and strategic importance, and that its proximity to the international border with Nepal also serves as a major transit hub.
The MP demanded that air service be established from Gorakhpur to Amritsar via Delhi, and direct flights from Gorakhpur to Dehradun, providing direct benefits to millions of people in eastern Uttar Pradesh. He noted that the Gorakhpur airport currently enjoys a steadily increasing passenger traffic, making it a major air connectivity hub for several districts in Purvanchal.

In his notice, Ravi Kishan also noted that the launch of these new flights will significantly facilitate pilgrims, tourists, businesspeople, and students. The MP urged the central government to expedite the launch of these proposed air services in the public interest, so that the development of Gorakhpur and the entire Purvanchal region can gain new momentum.
It's worth noting that there has been a long-standing demand to increase connectivity at Gorakhpur Airport so that the entire Purvanchal region can benefit. Now, the MP has once again taken the initiative.
