Kerala Health Minister Veena George herself has given this information. On Friday, Veena has appealed to all the districts of the southern state to increase surveillance.
What did the Health Minister of Kerala say?
Veena George said, 'Health department officials should keep a close watch on any increase in virus infection and take immediate action. In May, 273 cases of Covid-19 were reported in Kerala. People with symptoms like cough, sore throat or breathing problems should wear masks.'
9 month old baby infected in Bengaluru
Karnataka health department officials said on Friday, "A nine-month-old child has been found infected with Covid-19 in Bengaluru." Harsh Gupta, Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department said, "The infection in the child was confirmed through 'Rapid Antigen Test' (RAT) on May 22. The patient's condition is stable and he is currently admitted to Vani Vilas Hospital in Kalasipalya, Bengaluru."
What did the Karnataka health department say?
A statement issued by the Karnataka Health Department said, 'Of the 35 active cases of Covid-19 reported so far in the state, 32 are from Bengaluru.'
The statement of the health minister of Andhra Pradesh also came out
Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said on Friday, 'Four cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the state in the last 24 hours, three of which are in Visakhapatnam and one in Rayalaseema region. A woman in Visakhapatnam was found infected with the corona virus on Thursday, after which her family members and a postgraduate medical student were also found infected on Friday. Four people have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 in Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours. Three in Visakhapatnam and a 61-year-old woman in Kadapa have been found infected.'
