News Topical, Digital Desk : The troubles of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter Veena Vijayan have increased. The Kerala High Court today issued notice to Veena and others on a petition demanding a CBI and ED investigation into the CMRL-Exalogic deal.

The court took this action in response to a petition filed by BJP state vice-president Shawn George.

Demand for investigation into fraudulent transactions

George had sought a probe into alleged fraudulent transactions between Exalogic Solutions Pvt Ltd and Cochin Minerals and Rutile Ltd (CMRL).

The case was heard by Justice CS Dias. The writ petition stated that the petitioner was the actual complainant on whose instance the SFIO (Serious Fraud Investigation Office) had initiated investigation into the said fraud. 

Earlier, he had filed another writ petition before the High Court in 2023 seeking investigation into the allegations. The judgment in the said case was passed in May 2024 and he was given liberty to move the court after completion of investigation by the SFIO. The present petition has been filed as a follow-up to the same.
