
News Topical, Digital Desk : Giving information on the flash floods caused by cloudburst in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu and Kangra districts, the state's Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that cloudbursts have occurred at three places in the state and flash floods have occurred at nine places. Five people have been confirmed dead. Two people are missing in Kullu. Three people have died and five people are missing due to cloudburst in Kangra. At the same time, one person is trapped in the middle of the forest, the rescue operation is on.
Many houses and roads were damaged
Chief Minister Sukhu said that many houses in villages located near rivers and drains have been damaged. So far 15 houses have been reported damaged. Apart from this, many roads in rural areas have also suffered heavy damage, due to which there are problems in movement. The Chief Minister appealed to tourists to come to Himachal Pradesh and said that tourists can come to the state during monsoon, but please do not go near rivers and drains.
People swept away in flood, missing
Three incidents of cloudburst were reported at Jiva Nallah, Rehla Bihal and Shilagarh in Gadsa area in Sainj of Kullu district. People trying to evacuate their belongings from their homes in Rehla Bihal were swept away by the floods and are missing. Additional District Commissioner (ADC) Kullu Ashwani Kumar said flash floods were also reported in Manali and Banjar of the district. The team is present at the spot and search operation is on. Flash floods have also been reported in Brahma Ganga Nallah in Manikaran valley. The water level has reached several houses and if it does not subside soon, it may cause damage. Several videos of heavy floods at several places in Kullu have shown signs of devastation. In one video, a vehicle is seen floating in the muddy water.

Banjar MLA Surinder Shourie said, "It has been raining heavily since morning and I have received many calls that the rain has caused damage in Sainj, Tirthan and Gadsa. I have asked the administration to take immediate action as people are in trouble." The water level of Beas and Sutlej rivers has increased. Apart from this, Lahaul and Spiti Police said that the road from Kaza to Samdoh has been blocked at many places due to landslides, falling debris and overflowing drains.
