News Topical, Digital Desk : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami attended a five-day religious and social festival held at Jeevandeep Ashram in Roorkee. Welcoming the revered saints, religious leaders, and devotees present, he said that the community of saints is like a living pilgrimage site, inspiring society towards the right path.

The Chief Minister paid his respects to the late Padma Bhushan Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj and prostrated before the revered Jagadguru Mahamandaleshwar Swami Yatindranand Giri Ji Maharaj and all the saints. He said that the divine presence of saints infuses new energy into the mind and soul.

'Five-day program giving the message of service-spirit'

The Chief Minister said that in this five-day festival of Jeevan Deep Seva Trust, spiritual and social programs like Shatchandi Mahayagna, Shri Bhaktamal Katha, worship of 1100 girls, distribution of study material and mass marriage of five girls are giving a wonderful message of service spirit in the society.

The Chief Minister also dedicated and inaugurated the Swami Satyamitranand Giri Auditorium, Shri Siddhabali Hanuman Gate, and Shaheed Chowk. He stated that Shaheed Chowk is a memorial to the courage and patriotism of our immortal martyrs, and will continue to inspire generations to come. The Chief Minister announced that the Sunhara Marg intersection from Main Road will be renamed Shaheed Chowk.

The Chief Minister said that Swami Satyamitranand Giri Ji Maharaj dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation, religion, and humanity, showing society the sacred path of sacrifice, compassion, and service. Inspired by him, the Jeevan Deep Seva Trust is performing excellent service in various fields, including education, health, culture, women's empowerment, and cow protection.

'The pride of Sanatan culture has increased under the leadership of PM Modi'

The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's eternal culture has gained worldwide recognition. He noted that initiatives like the construction of the grand Ram Temple , the reconstruction of the Badrinath-Kedarnath shrine, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, and the Mahakal Public Works Department are historic steps toward the renaissance of our cultural consciousness.

He stated that the state government is working with the resolve to make Uttarakhand the spiritual capital of the world. Along with the beautification of the Kedarkhand and Manaskhand temple areas, important initiatives are underway, including the restoration of the Yamuna Tirtha site, the construction of the Haridwar-Rishikesh Corridor, the Sharda Corridor, and the establishment of the Center for Hindu Studies at Doon University. The Chief Minister stated that the state government is fully committed to protecting the state's cultural values ​​and social structure. 

'Over 9,000 acres of land freed from land jihad'

He stated that anti-conversion laws and strict anti-riot laws have been implemented. Strict action has been taken against jihadi mentalities such as land jihad, love jihad, and spit jihad. More than 9,000 acres of government land has been freed from land jihad. A uniform legal system has been established in the state by implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

He stated that strict anti-cheating laws were implemented in the interest of youth, resulting in government jobs for over 26,000 young people. Over 250 illegal madrasas involved in illegal activities were sealed, and a new law was enacted to abolish the Madrasa Board, which will automatically close non-standard madrasas from July 1, 2026. Under "Operation Kalanemi," strict action was taken against those who defame Sanatan Dharma.

'Resolve to make Uttarakhand the best state'

The Chief Minister said that the Uttarakhand government, with a "no-option resolution," is constantly striving to make the state the best in the country. He expressed confidence that with the blessings of saints and sages and public support, Uttarakhand will certainly establish itself as an ideal and leading state. At the event, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami worshipped 11 girls and presented them with gifts and dakshina. He also extended his best wishes and blessings to six girls on their mass wedding and wished them a happy life.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami's wife, Geeta Dhami, said that it is a fortunate day that the Jeevan Deep Ashram is organizing a five-day festival today, which we were also fortunate to attend. She said that the Jeevan Deep Ashram is working for the welfare of society while upholding Sanatan Dharma. Today, in this five-day festival, 1,100 girls are being worshipped and fed, and six girls are being married en masse.

On this occasion, Mahamandaleshwar Yatindranand Giri Maharaj of Juna Akhara expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister, all the public representatives and area residents for attending the program for the inauguration of the building.
