News Topical, Digital Desk : Today, Indian youth are recognized in the world as computer or software engineers, but in the coming years, Indian youth will also be recognized as semiconductor engineers across the world.
The biggest reason for this is that all the three areas related to semiconductors, designing, fab construction and packaging are developing simultaneously in India. Companies investing in this sector have full faith in the talent of Indian youth.
American company is offering job
In this episode, America's Micron company Semicon India is offering jobs to Indian youth in 2025. The youth visiting the company's stall can apply for jobs in Micron.
The company said that they need youth in every field, from research to other fields, so they are encouraging them to apply. Benjamin Lin, President of Delta Electronics India, a Taiwanese company that has the largest share in chip manufacturing, said that India is standing at the threshold of a semiconductor and electronics revolution.
We have full faith in the potential of Indian youth. This is why factories for machines, gases and chemicals required for chip manufacturing are also being set up in India. According to Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, 500 chemicals and 50 types of gases are used in chip manufacturing and factories are being set up in India to manufacture all these.
India's share will increase
In the future, machines related to chip manufacturing will also be made in India. Thus, the entire ecosystem of chip manufacturing will create thousands of employment opportunities and supply skilled workers to the world.
Anku Jain, Managing Director of Media Tech India, a chip designing company, said that 20 percent of the chips made in the world are designed in India. When India's share in fab manufacturing and packaging will increase, thousands of technology students will be required, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that chips have the power to accelerate the world's progress and the youth who create this capability will be in demand in every country.
Semiconductor force is being prepared
More than 200 engineering colleges in India are preparing a young force of semiconductors. The demand for skilled workers in the Indian chip industry will increase rapidly once commercial chip production begins by the end of this year. India has more than 25 lakh young graduates in engineering, science and mathematics, which is much higher than any other country.
