In the September bank holiday list released by the country's central bank RBI, tomorrow i.e. Wednesday, 4 September has also been marked as a bank holiday. According to this official list of RBI, there will be a bank holiday on Wednesday on the occasion of Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva.

However, it is important to mention here that there is no bank holiday in all the states of the country on the occasion of Srimanta Shankardeva's Tirubhav Tithi. This festival will be special only for Assam. Therefore, tomorrow all public and private sector banks will remain closed only in Assam, Guwahati. Tomorrow is the death anniversary of Srimanta Shankardev's disappearance. He is known as a great saint, playwright, poet and social reformer. Srimanta Shankardev's disappearance led the Bhakti movement in Assam. Along with this, he also propagated Vaishnavism.
