In a major change in the policy, Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Home Minister Shabana Mahmood have presented new, stricter rules in the Parliament. After presenting the rules in the Parliament, Shabana Mahmood has said that unless countries accept the return of their criminals and illegal immigrants, they will be imposed Trump-style visa ban. She has also announced more comprehensive reforms to deal with illegal immigration.
These are the first countries to face the ban
The first countries to face such a ban from the UK are Angola, Namibia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, whose citizens will not be granted British visas unless their governments rapidly improve cooperation on deportations. "These countries face penalties for their unacceptably low cooperation and obstructive return processes," the Home Office said. "Thousands of illegal migrants and criminals from these countries are currently in the UK."
Human rights laws will be changed
Non-cooperation includes embassies failing to process deportation paperwork on time and forcing individuals to sign their documents. According to a report in the Times (UK), India is considered one of several other countries most resistant to taking back illegal migrants and may join this list in the coming year. Human rights laws will also be changed to increase deportations and prevent migrants from "gaming the system."

The UK government will legislate to reform the way courts interpret Article 8 (the right to family and private life) to make it clear that family ties mean immediate family, such as parents or children – preventing people from using dubious relationships to stay in the UK. Migrants will be allowed to argue all legal grounds in a single appeal and, if they lose, will be forced to leave the country.
