News Topical, Digital Desk : A woman and her two daughters drowned in a swimming pool in Warangal city, Telangana, under suspicious circumstances. The deceased have been identified as 26-year-old Farhat and her two daughters, 8-year-old Umera and 6-year-old Ayesha.

According to reports, the family owned a swimming pool near the Warangal-Khammam National Highway. It was rented out to visitors and was the family's main source of income.

All three drowned within minutes.

On Wednesday night, Farhat and her daughters went to the water with other family members. A few minutes later, they were found in the pool. Neighbors pulled them out and rushed them to MGM Hospital in Warangal, where doctors declared all three dead. Farhat's husband, Azharuddin, told police that it was an accident.

The husband said that he had died in the accident

He further stated that his wife and daughters slipped into the pool and drowned. Farhat's father, Ali, has filed a complaint at the police station, raising questions about the deaths of the three.

Farhat's father has alleged that his daughter and Azharuddin had been having frequent fights over the past few days, primarily due to their child and Farhat's pregnancy. The family claims that Azharuddin did not want another daughter and was pressuring Farhat to have an abortion.

Police registered a case and questioned the husband.

Farhat's father told the police, "My daughter was under stress for several days. We don't think this was an accident." After the case was registered, police officers visited the scene, inspected the swimming pool, and questioned the family. CCTV cameras installed at the scene are also being examined.

The bodies have been sent to MGM Hospital for postmortems. SI Srinivas said, "We have registered a case based on the complaint filed by the woman's father. All aspects are being investigated. The postmortem report and forensic evidence are awaited." He added that Azharuddin is also being questioned.
