News Topical, Digital Desk : Microsoft founder Bill Gates has spoken about the job threats posed by artificial intelligence (AI). Speaking to NDTV in Davos, Gates said that AI will take away the jobs of white-collar workers in the next four to five years.
The Microsoft founder has warned the world about the harm AI could pose. Bill Gates warned that AI is going to change the job market faster than expected, and the time to prepare is rapidly running out.

In an interview at the World Economic Forum, Bill Gates said, 'I would say that in the next four to five years, governments will have to take the lead in addressing both white-collar and blue-collar jobs.'
While acknowledging the potential for AI to bring benefits, from new discoveries in diseases to education, Gates warned that if not managed, it could lead to profound changes in the workforce, hiring practices and economic equality.
Gates continued, "Will you retrain people? Will you change your tax system? So far, the impact has been minimal. But that won't last long. Things will change in the future."
