According to the report of Ganga-Son flood protection division, the water level of Ganga is 66 cm above the danger mark at Gandhi Ghat, 3 cm at Digha Ghat and 35 cm at Hathidah. Punpun and Son rivers are also in spate, although their water is stable at present.

Ganga water spread on many roads and fields in rural areas of Patna

Apart from Ganga, the water level of Punpun and Son rivers is rising rapidly. By evening, Punpun crossed the danger mark in Shripalpur. Punpun Flood Control JE Rahul Kumar said that by 4 pm on Friday evening, the water level of Punpun river in Shripalpur was one cm above the danger mark.

The road connecting the low lying areas of Maner Diara, Chhahattar and Mahavir Tola has been submerged. The possibility of flood has increased in the Diara area of ​​Danapur. People have already started looking for a safe place.

After Gandhi Ghat, Hathidah also crossed the danger mark

The water level at Gandhi Ghat is constantly rising. On Friday morning, the water level here was 36 cm above the danger mark. Similarly, the water level at Digha Ghat has risen by more than 40 cm in 24 hours. The underpass of JP Ganga Path has also submerged. People are commuting through this for their essential work. There is waterlogging at many places in the Diara areas. People are now in a state of migration. A large number of cattle herders are being taken to safe places. They are looking for shelter towards Sonpur and Danapur.

The district administration has made solid preparations

The district administration has made complete preparations to save people from the disaster. Agreements have been made with boat owners. 128 relief camps and 126 shelters have been arranged. Apart from this, 148 teams have been kept ready for rescue and search.

SDRF and NDRF teams have also been deputed. Availability of human and animal medicines has also been ensured. 56 types of medicines, ORS, anti-rabies and snake bite medicines are also available. No safety arrangements on the banks of Ganga: The flow of the swollen Ganga is very fast.

A large number of people are reaching the banks of the Ganga. Apart from the river front, children are also having a lot of fun on other ghats along with the elders. On Friday, many children in school uniforms were seen jumping and playing in the water at Digha Ghat, but there was no one to stop them here.

There are many potholes in the waterlogged areas, if a child gets caught in these potholes, then an accident cannot be ruled out. People there said that it is very important for the administration to monitor these places.
