News Topical, Digital Desk : Political activity has intensified in Bihar ahead of the expected cabinet expansion after Makar Sankranti. Vinay Bihari, a former minister, senior BJP MLA, and prominent figure in the Bhojpuri industry, has staked his claim for a ministerial position. He has demanded that he be appointed as a minister from the BJP quota. He is the first MLA from the Bhojpuri industry to enter politics. 

Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan and Nirahua are my juniors - Vinay Bihari

Vinay Bihari said, "Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, and Dinesh Lal Nirahua are my juniors. Manoj Tiwari entered politics four years after me, Ravi Kishan nine years after me, and Nirahua 11 years after me. I have written 22,000 songs and acted in 750 films."

I hope my name will be in the list of ministers - Vinay Bihari

He further said, "I am an MLA from an area where there has never been a BJP MLA before. Given my political and cultural contributions, I am a strong contender for a ministerial position. I have been elected four times. I have served as a minister before. I hope the top leadership will consider my name and include me in the ministerial list." 

All is not well in NDA – RJD

Meanwhile, Lalu Prasad Yadav's RJD party says that all is not well within the NDA. RJD spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari said, "The discontent of the MLAs is clearly visible. They are demanding cabinet positions. When the cabinet is expanded, we will see more discontent among the MLAs as well. The NDA will face a major crisis." 

A cabinet expansion in Bihar is expected after Makar Sankranti. Currently, the Bihar cabinet comprises 26 ministers, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. According to the rules, this number can be increased to a maximum of 36. Through this cabinet expansion, the NDA parties will attempt to address caste, social, and regional dynamics.
