Bihar: Dog bites owner's ear, man takes it to hospital to get it repaired:

News Topical, Digital Desk : In Gopalganj, keeping a dog proved costly for a person. The pet dog suddenly attacked the owner and cut off one of his ears (the one on the right side). The incident happened on Monday evening (11 August, 2025). The person reached Sadar Hospital with his cut ear to get it reattached.

He was treated at Sadar Hospital. The victim, Sandeep Kumar, is a resident of Arar Mohalla of Nagar police station area. An attempt was made to join the ear at Sadar Hospital. However, a lot of blood had already been lost. The youth was later referred to Gorakhpur.

Keeping a dog was my hobby since childhood

Family members said that Sandeep loves dogs a lot. He was fond of keeping dogs since childhood. Late on Monday evening, the pet dog climbed on the roof and started jumping. Sandeep scolded it. During this, the dog jumped and attacked.

When I removed my hand, he scratched my ear

Sandeep Kumar, who came to Sadar Hospital for treatment, said that the dog first tried to bite his hand, but when he removed his hand, the dog caught his ear and bit off his ear. People immediately took him to Sadar Hospital. Dr. Danish Ahmed, the doctor treating him in the emergency ward, said that the man's condition is normal.

In this attack, some nerves of the ear have also been damaged. The doctor said that one should avoid keeping such a hobby which can prove fatal for oneself or family members. This incident is also a lesson for people who keep dogs.

After the bite, there is fear in the family members

On the other hand, after this incident, the people of the house are scared of the dog. They are worried that the dog may attack any other member of the house again. The people of the house say that the dog which bit the ear was bought some time ago. Now the family members are in fear.
