News Topical, Digital Desk : A Lamborghini car performing dangerous stunts on the streets of Bengaluru, the capital of Karnataka, has come to light. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras, and the video is going viral on social media.
After the video went viral, police took action and summoned Ricky Rai, son of former underworld don Muthappa Rai, and also seized the luxury car involved in the incident.
What is the whole matter?
The incident occurred near Anil Kumble Circle on MG Road, one of Bengaluru's busiest roads. Between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. on Saturday, the occupants of a Lamborghini car endangered the lives of other drivers by driving recklessly. A video circulating on social media shows two people.
Traffic police took action
After the video went viral, the Cubbon Park Traffic Police took cognizance of the incident and began investigating. By late Saturday evening, a police team located the vehicle at Ricky Rai's residence in RMV Extension, near Sankey Tank, Sadashivnagar, and seized it.
CCTV footage from the area shows that two people were in the car during the stunt. However, authorities have not yet determined who was driving it at the time.
Ricky Rai receives two notices
Investigations have revealed that the Lamborghini was originally registered in the name of a Delhi-based individual and was sold to Ricky Rai. Police have issued two notices to Ricky Rai for questioning—one late Saturday night and the other on Sunday—asking him to appear before the investigating officer. Ricky Rai has not yet responded.
According to reports, Ricky Rai's father, Muthappa Rai, was a prominent figure in the Karnataka underworld. He held considerable sway over Bengaluru's crime scene in the 1980s and 1990s. He was accused of several serious crimes, including murder and extortion.
