News Topical, Digital Desk : A robbery has been reported at a jewellery shop on the outskirts of Karnataka's capital Bengaluru. The robbery at Ram Jeweller shop in Madanayakanahalli area, about 40 km from Bengaluru, was captured on the CCTV camera installed there. In the FIR filed with the police, shop owner Kanhaiya Lal said that three robbers looted jewellery worth about Rs 18 lakh at gunpoint. The incident took place on the night of July 24, pictures of which have now surfaced.

The incident happened when the shop was about to close. Investigation so far has revealed that four people came in a car. Three of them entered the shop wearing masks. They threatened the owner and a colleague present in the shop at gunpoint and within a few seconds they stuffed whatever jewellery they could lay their hands on into a bag and took it away.

Neighbouring shopkeeper stabbed

The owner of Ram Jeweller shop raised an alarm as soon as the robbers came out. In such a situation, the neighboring shopkeeper tried to stop the robbers, but one of the robbers who had a knife attacked that person. The neighboring shopkeeper also suffered a shoulder injury due to the robber's attack. After the robbery, the robbers fled towards the highway in a car. The police have registered a case and started investigation. It is being told that a total of 185 grams of gold jewelry has been looted from the shop. The incident took place on Friday at around 8.30 pm.

The shop was looted with planning

The robbers had come to rob the shop with complete planning. They knew where the jewellery was kept. They also knew the closing time of the shop. That is why they robbed the jewellery kept on the table in the shop within 30 seconds and also the jewellery kept for showpiece and then fled. The police have registered a case and started investigation. CCTV footage of nearby shops is being scanned.
