News Topical, Digital Desk : In a tragic incident in Karnataka's capital, Bengaluru, a 26-year-old engineer fell to his death from the 16th floor. The deceased has been identified as Nikshap. According to police, Nikshap had recently completed his electronic engineering studies in Europe and was about to return to India to begin work. The incident has left the family in a state of shock and grief. Family members are inconsolable.
Death after falling from the 16th floor
Police said that Nikshup was living with his parents at Prince Town Apartments in the Shettihalli area of Bengaluru. The deceased's father, Kishore, told police that Nikshup had called him around 5 a.m. on Wednesday morning, saying he would be returning home soon. "Around 8:30 a.m., we received a call from Ravi, the president of our apartment association, asking us to come to the ground floor. When we reached downstairs, we found our son had fallen from the 16th floor and was dead," he said.
Nikshap was suffering from schizophrenia
Upon receiving information about the incident, a team from the Bagalgunte police station arrived at the scene and registered a case. Officials stated that the cause and circumstances of the death are being investigated. In a statement to the police, the father, Kishore, also stated that Nikshap had been suffering from schizophrenia for the past few years.
According to the police, the body has been sent to Victoria Hospital for post-mortem examination. Further investigation is underway.
