News Topical, Digital Desk : One year has passed since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. While countless things have changed in the country and the world during this time, the memory of that tragic attack still haunts many families. One such tragic story is that of Dr. and her 5-year-old son, who live in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

Bharat lost his life in front of his son and wife.

She added that the way her four-and-a-half-year-old son, who witnessed the attack, reacted both comforts and worries her. "He saw his father being shot," she recalls. “There was blood splatter on both of our clothes. He kept saying, 'Papa is hurt, he's bleeding profusely.'”

"To cope with the trauma, she keeps herself busy from morning to night. If she sits idle, the horrific incident resurfaces in her mind." She adds, "She has deliberately kept Sundays free for her son. He needs me. He knows his father is no longer alive. I constantly keep him busy, playing with him and teaching him. My family has always stood by me during this difficult time."

Bharat's birthday was also in the month of April.

The month of April, once a month of joy and celebration, has now become a month of grief and sadness for them. Just days before the attack, on April 14th, the family celebrated Bharat's birthday together. Regarding the attackers, they said they were brainwashed into believing what they were doing was right.
