News Topical, Digital Desk : The Axiom-4 mission carrying Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla to the International Space Station has been postponed once again. This NASA mission includes four members. Initially, the date of May 29 was fixed for this mission, but NASA has been postponing it due to various reasons. Now the date of June 22 was fixed for the launch of this mission, but now it has also been extended. However, no confirmation has been made by NASA regarding the next date. It will be launched after the conditions are created suitable for the mission.

Axiom Space said NASA has decided to push back from the planned launch of Axiom Mission 4 on Sunday, June 22. A new date for the mission's launch will be announced in the coming days. The space agency said it needs some more time to continue assessing operations on the International Space Station, as repair work was recently performed on the aft section of the orbital lab's Zvezda service module. "Given the space station's complex and interdependent systems, NASA is taking the time to review data. NASA wants to ensure the space station's systems are ready to support additional crew members," Axiom Space said in a statement.

NASA's Axiom-4 mission postponed for the sixth time

This is the sixth time the mission has been postponed. The mission was originally scheduled to launch on May 29, but was later postponed to June 8, then June 10, June 11, June 19 and then June 22. Now it has been postponed indefinitely. Previous delays were due to a variety of reasons, including delays in the preparation of the Falcon 9 rocket, adverse weather conditions, a leak of liquid oxygen and a technical fault in the space station's service module.

This is the first mission of the three countries to the International Space Station and their first government-sponsored human spaceflight in 40 years. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla will become India's second astronaut to go to space after Rakesh Sharma's mission in 1984. His participation in Axiom Space's fourth private astronaut mission (X-4) is an important milestone in India's space cooperation with NASA.
