News Topical, Digital Desk : The Pakistan Army on Thursday denied media reports which claimed that Army Chief Asim Munir had made remarks last week about jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan and his party.

Suhail Warraich, columnist of Urdu daily 'Jang', wrote in his column that in response to a question, the Army Chief had said that political reconciliation is possible only if a sincere apology is made.

Army spokesman Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry categorically denied media reports claiming some of the comments made by Munir in Brussels.

Chaudhry said the army chief did not make any comment about Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in Brussels. He also stressed that Munir did not give any interview.

However, Choudhary clarified that there is no change in the policy towards those involved in the May 9, 2023 riots and those behind the incident and their masterminds and conspirators should be held accountable as per the law.
