News Topical, Digital Desk : An Air India flight from San Francisco in the US to Mumbai via Kolkata developed a technical snag in its engine, forcing passengers to deboard the plane during its halt at the Kolkata airport on Tuesday.

Flight from America reached Kolkata late at night

Air India flight number AI-180 from San Francisco to Mumbai via Kolkata arrived on time at the city airport at 12:45 am but the flight was delayed due to a technical snag in the left engine.

Passengers were asked to disembark around 5 am

An announcement was made by the pilot on the plane at around 05:20 am asking all passengers to disembark. The flight captain told the passengers that this decision was being taken in the interest of flight safety.

The flight is being inspected after a technical fault
