News Topical, Digital Desk : A shameful incident has come to light from New York City, where some boys brutally attacked two girls in a park. The attack on the girls has sparked outrage among the locals and people have demanded an investigation.

According to the New York Post report, the incident took place in Kissena Park in Queens on May 2. The New York Police Department (NYPD) said that the 13-year-old and 16-year-old girls were playing basketball around 6 pm when a group of boys came there and attacked them.

According to police, the group of boys, including four 17-year-olds and one 16-year-old, first dragged the girls into the woods, attacked them with a baseball bat and stole their belongings.

Not only this, the accused boys shaved the head of the 16-year-old girl. Police said that the accused also snatched the girl's mobile phone and the younger girl's limited edition sneakers, which cost more than $500.

A video related to the incident is going viral on social media, in which the 13-year-old girl can be seen being forced to lie on the ground and being hit repeatedly with a baseball bat. One of the attackers then removed her shoes and beat her again.

Both girls were badly injured.

A 16-year-old girl was also badly injured in this attack. In the pictures, large injury marks are seen on her back and a part of her hair is missing. It is being told that both the victim girls are of Chinese origin and knew the attackers.

Police investigating the case have arrested five boys who have been charged with theft, assault, strangulation, harassment and weapons possession.
