News Topical, Digital Desk : A technical fault has been detected in an Air India plane again. Air India flight AI 504 from Kochi in Kerala to Delhi developed a technical fault late on Sunday night. The plane was about to take off from Kochi to Delhi, but the pilot noticed a problem shortly before takeoff. The pilot immediately contacted ATC and aborted the takeoff.

Air India issued a statement

Air India said in its statement that a technical fault was detected during takeoff in flight number AI 504. The cockpit crew, following protocol, decided not to take off and brought the aircraft back to the bay for maintenance checks. According to the airline spokesperson, the process of resolving the problem has been started and an alternate flight has been arranged for the passengers. Kochi Airport was also informed in this regard. 

The MP said- it seemed as if the plane slipped on the runway

Congress Lok Sabha MP from Ernakulam Hibi Eden was also on board this flight. The Congress MP claimed that he felt like the plane slipped on the runway. After this, the second flight took off from Kochi to Delhi at 2:30 am. Eden said in a post on X, "There was something abnormal in the flight AI 504. It felt like the plane slipped on the runway."  

Rajya Sabha MP JB Mathar was also on this plane. He told that the pilot later declared that the plane is not fit for travel. Mathar said that the pilot declared that this plane cannot be used for travel. Therefore, the passengers will be shifted to another plane.

Air India's Milan-Delhi flight also cancelled

Earlier on Saturday, Air India's Milan-Delhi flight was canceled due to technical fault during pushback. The airline said on Sunday that a maintenance fault was detected during preparation for takeoff. Later, the flight crew members' duty time was also over, due to which takeoff was unsafe and against the rules. Air India also apologized to the passengers for the cancellation of the flight.
