Very few people would have heard the name of Goddess Aditi. She is also called Devmata. Aditi means boundless. More information about her is found in the Vedas, especially in the Rigveda (Maa Aditi in Vedas). Many gods like Varun, Mitra, Surya, Som, Kamadeva, Agni and Indra were born from her womb. She is also considered a Brahma Shakti.

God was pleased with motherhood

According to the legend, pleased with Aditi's devotion and motherhood, once Lord Vishnu also expressed his wish to be born as her son. After this, he was born from her womb in the form of Vamana avatar. Along with this, due to being the son of Aditi, the Sun God is also known as Aditya.

While Aditi gave birth to all the gods, demons were born from the womb of her sister Diti. It is said that in ancient times, there was a tradition of worshipping Goddess Aditi, but with time this practice decreased considerably.
