India Inflation Data: After the retail inflation rate, the wholesale based inflation rate has also declined in the month of November. In November 2024, the wholesale inflation rate has come down to a three-month low of 1.89 percent, which was 2.36 percent in October 2024. Last year in November 2023, the wholesale based inflation rate was 0.39 percent.
Decrease in food inflation
The Ministry of Commerce has released the data of wholesale price based inflation rate. According to this data, the wholesale inflation rate has come down to 1.89 percent in the month of November. The wholesale inflation rate has come down due to the slowdown in the pace of increase in the prices of food items. The food inflation rate was 8.92 percent in the month of November, which was 11.6 percent in October 2024. The inflation rate of vegetable prices has increased at the rate of 28.57 percent, which had increased at the rate of 63 percent in October. The price of grains has increased at the rate of 7.81 percent in the month of November, which had increased at the rate of 7.9 percent in October.
Potato and egg inflation bothered everyone
The inflation rate of potato in November was 82.79 percent which had increased from 78.73 percent in October. The inflation rate of onion has come down to 2.85 percent in November which was 39.25 percent in October. The inflation rate of eggs, meat and fish has increased by 3.16 percent in November which had increased by -0.52 percent in October. The inflation rate of fruits has decreased. It was 8.41 percent in November which was 13.55 percent in October.
Retail inflation rate also decreased
Retail inflation figures were announced last week. Retail inflation has come down to 5.48 percent in November from 6.21 percent in October. Food inflation has also come down. Inflation is coming down due to better production of Kharif crops and increased arrival of vegetables in the market.
