Voting is going on in 8 seats of Bengal
Let us tell you that today voting is going on in eight seats of Bengal - Baharampur, Bolpur, Asansol, Birbhum, Burdwan East, Burdwan-Durgapur, Krishnanagar and Ranaghat. According to information received from commission sources, till 9 am, 15.24 percent votes have been cast in Bengal.
TMC worker murdered
A Trinamool worker was killed by a bomb before voting in Ketugram area of East Burdwan district of Bengal. The name of the deceased is Mintu Sheikh. At the same time, there are allegations of beating up CPI(M) workers in Nadia. At the same time, BJP MLA Laxman Ghorui alleged that his polling agents were thrown out of the polling booth located at TN School in Durgapur.
Dilip Ghosh made allegations against TMC
Earlier, BJP candidate from Bardhaman-Durgapur Lok Sabha constituency Dilip Ghosh had alleged that "TMC goons" were preventing polling agents from entering booths. "When I went to villages, women asked me with folded hands whether they would be able to cast their vote or not. It is TMC's habit to threaten people who want to vote. Polling agents, including the presiding officer, are not being allowed to enter the booth. I hope the situation improves and polling will take place smoothly," Ghosh said.
