Uttarakhand Civic Elections 2024 Dates Announced: The dates for the civic elections in Uttarakhand have been announced on Monday. Voting for the state civic elections will be held on January 23 next year. While the counting of votes will take place on January 25, just two days after the voting.

The last date for filing nomination papers for civic elections in Uttarakhand is 30 December. After this, the nomination papers will be scrutinized. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on 31 December and 1 January. The nomination papers will be scrutinized on 2 January next year. 

After scrutiny of nomination papers, the election symbol will be allotted to the candidates on January 3, 2025. That is, they will get the election symbol on January 3. After this, voting will be held in the entire state on January 23 and then the counting of votes will take place on January 25 and after that the results will be announced.

Complaints have been settled.
The objections received on the provisional notification issued on 14 December have been settled. The Urban Development Directorate has completed the hearing of the objections received on the provisional notification issued for the posts of Mayor and Chairman of the municipal bodies. After settling the objections received from all the 100 bodies, the Directorate is preparing to send its final report.

There are a total of 100 municipal bodies in the state, out of which 16 are Municipal Corporations, 31 are Municipal Councils and 53 are Nagar Panchayats. After getting the opportunity to file objections on the provisional notification, a large number of people came forward with their objections. Most of these objections were related to reservation.

Regarding the objections, the Directorate says that all the objections have been resolved. After preparing the report, it will be sent to the government on Sunday. The Directorate has made it clear that after settling the objections, the final report will be submitted to the government on time.
