There are a total of 100 municipal bodies in the state, out of which 16 are Municipal Corporations, 31 are Municipal Councils and 53 are Nagar Panchayats. After getting the opportunity to file objections on the provisional notification, a large number of people came forward with their objections. Most of these objections were related to reservation.
Regarding the objections, the Directorate says that all the objections have been resolved. After preparing the report, it will be sent to the government on Sunday. The Directorate has made it clear that after settling the objections, the final report will be submitted to the government on time.
