Uttarakhand Rain Alert: There is a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand on Friday, due to which the Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert of heavy rain in some areas of Dehradun, Chamoli and Nainital districts. Apart from this, an orange alert of heavy rain has been issued in some parts of Bageshwar district of Kumaon.
Meteorological Department, people are being advised to take precautions, especially in those areas where heavy rain is expected. People are being advised to get information about the weather before leaving the house, so that they can complete their daily tasks carefully. Director of Meteorological Center Bikram Singh said, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the hilly districts before the departure of monsoon. However, the heat can be troublesome due to bright sunshine in the plains. People are being requested to follow the advice of the Meteorological Department and complete their daily tasks carefully.
Roads closed due to landslides in many places
Due to rain, the condition of roads in the state is bad. Highways are closed at many places. At many places, landslides have created problems for people. Today, Gangotri-Yamunotri and Badrinath highways are closed at many places due to boulders falling. At some places, BRO is busy opening the highway, but at many places, the stranded people have started opening the road. The problem remains due to continuous falling of boulders along with rain. Traveling should be avoided during heavy rains and essential work should be postponed. The administration has also kept emergency services ready during heavy rains, so that help can be provided immediately if needed.
