Firing incidents are increasing continuously in America. Last night also four people were injured in a firing in Northeast DC, who were admitted to the hospital. Three men and a woman were injured in this incident which happened around 9 pm.
Firing near metro station
According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), all victims were conscious and breathing after the attack. The shooting happened in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way Northeast, just 500 feet from the NoMa-Gallaudet U New York Avenue subway station.
Two of the injured victims were admitted to the hospital while two others went to a nearby hospital on their own. Police said the condition of the victims is stable now.
Victims not identified
Police said the matter is being investigated. After the incident, people in the vicinity became anxious and started running away. The place is usually crowded, but it has now been evacuated. Police detectives are working on collecting evidence and identifying potential witnesses.
Police have not yet released the identities of the victims, nor provided any information about suspects or motives, WUSA9 reports.
Fourth attack in four days
There have been continuous attacks in America for the last four days. Earlier, there was indiscriminate firing in a nightclub in Queens, New York, in which 11 people were injured. The name of the nightclub where this incident took place is Amjura Nightclub.
Earlier, in the US city of New Orleans, a driver rammed his pickup truck into people celebrating New Year and also opened fire on them on Wednesday morning. 15 people were killed in this, while more than 35 people were injured. The attacking truck driver was killed in an encounter with the police. He has been identified as 42-year-old US citizen Shamsuddin Jabbar, a resident of Texas.
Just hours after this incident, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one person and injuring seven.
