U.S. Senate members validated Chris Wright for the Energy Secretary role while he managed a fracking company and led the Department of Energy toward environmental policy changes.A new Energy Secretary emerged after the U.S. Senate approved Chris Wright who leads the highest-ranking fracking company in the country. The Senate approved the nomination through a 59-38 vote count where eight lawmakers from the Democratic caucus and one Independent voted alongside Republicans. 

The nomination of Wright to his current position generated diverse reactions from observers. Industry knowledge from his background gives supporters confidence that he can successfully direct the Department of Energy towards better domestic energy progress.
