Agra. Call it the faith of the followers towards Saakar Vishwa Hari Bhole Baba or superstition, the cries of the dreadful accident that happened after the satsang in Sikandrarao on Tuesday were being heard everywhere, when the followers were in a queue to pay obeisance at Baba's hut in Kedar Nagar.
This was the same hut in which Baba kept the dead body of his adopted daughter for two days about 29 years ago. When the police reached there after hearing the rumour of efforts to revive her, Baba had told them that it was not me who was saying this, but my followers. However, the daughter did not come back to life.
Lived in Kedar Nagar
During his job in the police, Bhole Baba lived with his wife in an EWS house in Kedar Nagar. Locals said that Baba had adopted his brother-in-law's daughter. About 29-30 years ago, the daughter died due to Vish Bel (lump seen on the neck). The body was kept in the house for two days saying that the body is being brought back to life. A crowd gathered out of curiosity.
Bhole Baba had told the police that he will bring the daughter back alive. I did not say this, people are believing it. This is where Bhole Baba came into the limelight. However, the police took the body in their custody and got it cremated at Malla ka Chabutra crematorium.
This is not handpump water, it is medicine...
It is said that the water from the hand pump is not a medicine, but this is also a superstition. The followers drink water from the hand pump outside Baba's hut. They believe that this water cures diseases. This house in Kedarnagar was then called Baba's hut. His followers even today come to pay their obeisance at this luxurious hut.
Many followers had come on Tuesday too. On the first Tuesday of the month, the followers start coming from 3 am in the morning. There are two locks on the two-storey hut. People living nearby say that there is no idol inside the house nor is there anything that can be worshipped.
