Lucknow Chandigarh Express: A case of robbery of women has come to light in Lucknow-Chandigarh Express train in Uttar Pradesh. Where on Sunday morning, miscreants looted gold chain and jewellery from four women travelling in the train between Bareilly-Moradabad. This incident happened when the train was standing in the forest due to lack of signal. After the robbery, the accused fled from the spot. 

The women allege that despite shouting, the police personnel did not come and did not help them. When these women complained to Saharanpur GRP, they also did not register a case. Four women including Anjana, a resident of Chandigarh, were travelling in coach S-7 of Lucknow-Chandigarh Express. During this time, this incident of robbery happened with them. 

Women robbed in train
Women say that the train was standing in the forest because there was no signal ahead. During this time four-five miscreants arrived and snatched the things of the women sitting near the window and ran away after looting their jewellery. The women also raised an alarm but the police did not come to their aid. 

After this, the victim women informed about the robbery on the helpline number. After this, some policemen came to Saharanpur railway station and took information about the incident, but did not register a report and told them to complain about it in Chandigarh. 

On this matter, RPF station in-charge Mohit Tyagi said that cases of theft etc. are registered in GRP station. He is not aware of any such incident. GRP station in-charge Sanjeev Kumar said that information about robbery was received from women. When the train reached Saharanpur, GRP police reached the train. The women were asked to lodge a complaint but the women left after missing the train and did not lodge a complaint. He also termed the allegation of not registering the report as wrong.
