UP News: A case of assault on BJP MLA Yogesh Verma has come to light in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh. There was a dispute over the nomination of the election delegate in the Urban Cooperative Bank. In which the husband of the former president of the bank, Awadhesh Singh, the president of the District Advocates Association, beat up the Sadar MLA of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Yogesh Verma.

On the news of assault on the MLA, IG Lucknow Prashant Kumar reached Lakhipur. He also said that strict action will be taken after investigation in the matter. It has been said that action will be taken after investigation in the case of failure of administration.

Talking to ABP Live, Sadar MLA Yogesh Sharma said that this morning when Raju Agarwal, Vinod Mishra and Manoj Agarwal, all the officials of the traders' association were present, when they came to file the nomination, Raju Agarwal, former bank president Pushpa Singh and her husband Awadhesh Singh, president of the District Advocates Association, beat me up. He and all his goons, among them a person named Imran attacked me from behind. He said that the police tried to intervene but there were too many goons so the police could not do anything.
