UP By Election 2024: In the by-elections of Uttar Pradesh, BJP and RLD will contest the elections under the NDA alliance. But there may be a problem regarding the distribution of seats. After Sanjay Nishad, now RLD is also seeking three seats. Which includes Mirapur in Muzaffarnagar, Kundarki in Moradabad and Khair assembly seat in Aligarh.

Meerapur seat was with RLD and in the 2022 assembly elections, RLD candidate Chandan Chauhan won from Meerapur assembly seat by defeating Prashant Chaudhary of BJP, but in the Lok Sabha elections, RLD formed an alliance with BJP and made Chandan Chauhan a candidate from Bijnor Lok Sabha constituency. After which Chandan Chauhan became an MP and Meerapur assembly seat became vacant. At the same time, SP candidate from Kundarki and BJP candidate from Khair assembly had won in the 2022 elections.

BJP has won Kundarki only once. BJP
has won Kundarki assembly seat only once so far. BJP candidate Chandra Vijay Singh won for the first time in 1993. After that, till date BJP has not tasted victory on this seat again. Kundarki seat came into existence in 1967, assembly elections have been held 15 times in which BSP and SP candidates have won. BJP has been able to win from here only once.

If we talk about the 2022 assembly elections, Ziaur Rahman Burke of Samajwadi Party had won from here. However, this seat has become vacant after Ziaur Rahman became MP from Sambhal. This seat is considered a Muslim majority seat and Haji Rizwan, who rebelled against SP in 2022 and joined BSP, has been an MLA from Kundarki four times. Now Haji Rizwan has returned to SP again. Therefore, SP can also bet on him. Mostly Muslim candidates have been winning the Kundarki seat, because about 65 percent of the voters on this seat are Muslims.

If we talk about Khair assembly seat, then BJP had won from here in the 2022 assembly elections. Khair (reserved) assembly seat comes in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh. In 2022, Anup Pradhan Balmiki from Bharatiya Janata Party defeated Charu Kain of Bahujan Samaj Party by 74341 votes. But this time RLD is demanding this seat in the by-election.

RLD demands three seats.
RLD's National General Secretary Trilok Tyagi while talking to ABP News said that by-elections are to be held on 10 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh. Out of which three to four seats are from Western Uttar Pradesh, where RLD dominates. Therefore, RLD wants to contest elections on Meerapur, Khair and Kundarki seats. However, we are contesting the elections under the NDA alliance, so the final decision will be taken in the meeting. But we have put forward our point.

The question is not on which symbol to contest the election, the question is how to ensure that NDA wins all 10 seats. Therefore, the candidates have not been announced yet. Still, our preparations are complete. Trilok Tyagi recently said about the elections in Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Delhi that our party is Chaudhary Charan Singh's party. The party has to move forward. We will discuss whether to go to the election with an alliance, otherwise we will take further decisions based on what the organization wants.
