UP News: Even one and a half years after the death of Mafia Atiq Ahmed, the Yogi government's action against his misdeeds during his lifetime is continuing. In this connection, Prayagraj Police today confiscated two benami properties of Mafia Atiq Ahmed. These lands worth about six crore rupees have been confiscated under the Gangster Act. Atiq Ahmed had got the registry of this land done in the name of a sanitation worker. Mafia Atiq wanted to build a luxurious farm house for his comfort on these lands located on the banks of Yamuna river.

This attachment action was taken under the leadership of Assistant Police Commissioner Shwetaabh Pandey. According to Shwetaabh Pandey, mafia Atiq Ahmed had acquired two plots of 1344 square meters on the banks of Yamuna river in Naini area of ​​the city. Atiq had got these lands registered in the name of a Dalit sanitation worker named Shyamji Saroj. When Prayagraj Police was investigating the gangster case registered against Atiq, it got information about these two valuable lands of the mafia. 

 

The registry was done forcibly by applying pressure


Meanwhile, the sanitation worker Shyam ji Saroj himself came forward and informed the police about these two benami properties. He told that Mafia Atiq Ahmed and his gang members had got the registry done forcibly in his name by applying pressure. According to information received from sources, Atiq Ahmed was preparing to build a luxurious farm house on these lands worth approximately Rs 6 crores. According to sources, Mafia Atiq wanted to name the farm house to be built here as Disneyland. He wanted to get it built on the lines of Swapna Lok.

According to ACP Shwetaabh Pandey, during the investigation of the case registered under the Gangster Act, information was received about 102 cases registered against mafia Atiq Ahmed. After completing the necessary formalities, both these lands were confiscated today. The in-charge of Naini police station of Prayagraj has been appointed as the administrator of both these lands. Today, during the confiscation action, a public announcement was made by playing a drum. During this time, boards were also installed by the police on the lands. The board had the information written that both the lands have been confiscated under Section 14 (1) of the Gangster Act. Neither can anyone buy or sell it nor can any kind of construction be done on it.

 

According to Assistant Police Commissioner Shwetaabh Pandey, information is being continuously gathered about the mafia and its gang. Many actions have been taken in the past as well. This series of actions will continue in the future as well. A large number of policemen were present during the attachment action today. Mafia Atiq Ahmed and his brother Ashraf were killed in Calvin Hospital in Prayagraj on April 15 last year.
