Donald Trump's rapid decisions in America are affecting the entire world. Now his decision has posed a challenge to the interim government of Bangladesh. The US government has stopped the economic aid given to Bangladesh.

In Bangladesh, agencies run with the help of America are shutting down their offices, and the youth there are facing the consequences. Recently, an agency suddenly announced the closure of its services and sacked more than 1000 people at once. Many more agencies are also in the pipeline.

This company was affected the most in Bangladesh

The first impact of stopping American aid has been on Bangladesh's International Center for Diarrheal Disease Research. Let us tell you that ICDDR in Bangladesh has given dismissal letters to more than a thousand of its employees. All these employees were working in a program run with the help of United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

US government stopped the funds

Most of these officers and employees were on contract, but were drawing salaries of thousands of rupees per month. Now it will not be easy for them to find a new job. AKM Tariful Islam Khan, senior manager of the International Center for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, has confirmed that all employees have been fired. He said, the US government has stopped the funds. We will not get any funds for the next plans.

More than 60 NGOs depend on financial assistance

So we cannot work on any project now. We do not have enough funds to pay salaries to these people. More than 60 NGOs in Bangladesh were dependent on American financial aid. Now their financial crisis is deepening, due to which lakhs of people are at risk of losing their jobs.

Apart from US funding, companies from other western countries are also reconsidering their investments in Bangladesh. This could put the economy in further trouble in the coming months.
